Ralna's Trip to
Lubbock, TX
December 2007
 |
Took
a side trip to Lubbock to visit my friends on my way to Portales, NM.
Texas has always had the most beautiful skies.
"The stars at night, are big and bright, deep in the
heart of Texas." |
|
Here are my "Birdie Buddies" (l. to r.): Ann,
Karen, Ralna and Jan out on the town!
|
 |
 |
Had
lunch at a great spot in Lubbock and couldn't resist taking a picture
of this. |
|
Snapped this picture after lunch with high
school friends (l. to r.): Jan, Karen, Ann, and Donna.
|
 |
|
Ann acted as a great hostess for the Birdies in
Lubbock. (l. to r.): Granddaughter Avery, Ann and husband, Kenneth in
front of their beautiful tree with Kenneth's "baby" and best pal, Nicky.

Here
is Jan in front of her family home that has just been purchased by
Karen and her husband, Dale. When the house is remodeled, granddaughter
Chelsey will have a wonderful place to live when she starts college at
Texas Tech. |
|
While in Lubbock, I stayed with my niece,
Michelle. It was so wonderful to be able to have some special,
one-on-one time with her.
|
 |
 |
Michelle
has three children, pictured is her oldest daughter, Shea and her
youngest child, Clay. Her middle daughter, Taylor, was away at college. |
|
I
was thrilled to have a visit with my cousin, Barry and his wife Ann.
Barry was a radiologist in Lubbock for many years. I adore the two of
them.
